Amos Lee Burdine, 81, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at his home. Amos was born on May 15, 1933 in Lafayette, Indiana and lived his life in West Lafayette, Indiana; Vallejo, CA; Coffeyville, Kansas; Idaho Falls, ID; Downey, ID and Pocatello, ID. He had 22 years in Military Service the Navy and Marine Corp. and another 10 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He married Virginia (Burrow) on December 16, 1960 in Vallejo, CA. They were married 33 years until her passing on January 12, 1994. Amos belonged to the Elks club and was a member of the LDS Church. He loved dancing, Bingo, reading, Legos, collecting cars, singing, watching old movies and playing Santa Claus. Amos loved to have family night playing cards and games. He is survived by daughters, Sherry Ross and Lisa Luck of West Jordan, UT and Renata Skinner of Pocatello, ID; Sons, Chris and Sean Burdine of South Lake Tahoe, CA; sisters, Betty Jo Koetters of Fort Hall, ID, Marline Quin of Cary, NC, and Vivian Shaver of Lafayette, IN; brothers, Earl Jay Burdine of Battle Ground, IN, Robert Davis of West Lafayette, IN, and David of LA Habra, CA; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild. The family would like to thank his caregiver and friend Maria Reynoso for all her loving care. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Burrow) Burdine; father, Amos Green Burdine; mother, Justine Grace (Metcalf) Burdine; grandson, Benjamin Joseph Woodward, and one great granddaughter, Kalie Marie Woodward. A viewing will be Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID (208)233-1500. Funeral Services will be Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2 PM at Colonial Funeral Home with a viewing held for one hour prior to the service.
