Ann M Beach

October 18, 1918 — October 10, 2012

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Ann Beach passed away in her Pocatello home on Wednesday October 10, 2012 at the age of 93.

Ann was born on October 18, 1918 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. She was the only child of Eric Taylor York Cloudt of Kimble County, Texas and Zula Vivian Wright of Lordsburg, New Mexico. During her childhood she lived on ranches and farms where there weren't many children. She enjoyed horses and riding as her past time.

She went to school in various New Mexico schools throughout her elementary and high school career, and earned her teachers certificate in 1936 at the age of 18. She taught only one year of high school, saying she could not handle the bratty kids after that.

She had many other jobs, mostly book keeping and office managing in construction and retail. She even ran a restaurant at one point. On June 15th, 1946 she married Thomas A. Beach, in Silver City, New Mexico. During her married years she enjoyed camping with her family, cooking and sewing. Later in life she kept her mind sharp by doing the daily crossword in the newspaper. Ann enjoyed fast cars, driving both a mustang and thunderbird at different periods of her life. She modeled for a period of time in Long Beach California. In 1982 at the age of 66 she earned her real estate license.

Ann is survived by her children; Vivian (Tommy) Hensley and Taylor Beach; grandchildren, Shane (Kathy) Hensley, Vickie Bowers, Dwayne (Amy) Hensley, Arcelia Gonzalez, Arcenio Gonzalez, Nicole Beach and Samantha Beach; great grandchildren Jessica Noel, Scotty Hughes, Chrystal Taylor, Emi Hensley, SheaLa Bowwers, Robbie Bowers, Jonathan Bowers, Joshua Bowers and others; numerous great-great grandchildren; as well as loving friends Rick and Coral Lee and their children; and special sisters, Joan Johnson, Bobbye (Bill) Wohlenhous.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, and her grandsons; Andy Beach and David Bowers.

Life celebration will be held on Sunday, October 14th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ's Love Vineyard in Pocatello, Idaho.
