Arleene Guenther

Arleene Guenther passed July 13, 2022 in Idaho Falls, ID.  Survived by daughter Rhonda Guenther, son Dirk Guenther (Kelli) and sister Denise Byington (Craig).  Proceeded in death by husband Ronald Guenther, son Thomas Guenther, parents Eugene and Lois Harris, sister Dianne Christiansen (Eric-deceased), and a great grandson Deklyn Dean Lemp.

Arleene was born to Eugene and Lois Harris on Oct. 15, 1942 in Lava Hot Springs, ID.  She attended grade school in McCammon, ID and graduated Marsh Valley High School (1960). She married Ron on Sept. 2, 1960 in McCammon, ID.  Arleene and Ron traveled quite a bit following Ron’s construction work.  Their 3 children were born in 3 different states. Daughter Rhonda born in Clarkston, WA, son Tom born in Pocatello, ID, son Dirk born in Butte, MT.  Arleene had 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Arleene was a home maker while the children attended school in Lewiston, ID.  Dirk attended high school at Marsh Valley High.  She went to work at a grain inspection office as a grain technician in Lewiston, ID.  Arleene  and Ron and their 2 sons moved to McCammon, ID.  Arleene continued her work as a grain technician in Pocatello, ID.

Arleene and Ron enjoyed visiting family.  Their children lived in 3 different states.  They had family in Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Mexico.  Arleene enjoyed beading and crafts. She was an avid reader, enjoying mysteries and crime fighting.  She loved going to movies and had a large collection of DVDs.    

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, ID. Family will meet with friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service Friday at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID.
