Arthur Eugene "Gene" Neihart

Arthur Eugene "Gene" Neihart, 71, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at his home in Chubbuck, Idaho. He was born in Gooding, Idaho and received his education in Blackfoot, Idaho. Gene married Linda Kuhn and they were later divorced. He then married Sally Miller in Pocatello, Idaho in 1972. Gene worked at the Pocatello airport and Big O Tires. He was also a mechanic and handy man working various jobs. He belonged to the North American Hunting Club and the local Pocatello Chapter of the American Legion. He enjoyed leather crafts, fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Gene is survived by his wife, Sally, Chubbuck, ID; sons, Travis Neihart, Pocatello, ID, Shaun (Jen) Neihart, Boise, ID; daughters, Gena Martinez, Twin Falls, ID, Steph Rock, Pocatello, ID, Susan Troyer, Pocatello, ID; sisters, Ranae Ure, Utah, Debra (Gary) Passey, Utah; brother, Flint (Janeice) Neihart, Blackfoot, ID; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Edna Neihart; brothers, Rocky, Warren, Dean and Larry Neihart; sister, Beverly Gaunt; daughter, Tina Neihart; and granddaughter, Rose Neihart. Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an organization of your choice.
