Atha Call

Atha Weaver Call passed away in her sleep on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 at age 90.
She was born on November 6th 1922 in Preston Idaho to Baldia Gamble and Lizzie Packer Weaver. She is survived by Daughter in-law Gina Call, Grandchildren; Nick Call, Carrie Rogers, (Eric ), Alan Call (Jyl ) and Josh Winslow.

She had seven great-grandchildren, Peyton Rogers, Paige Rogers, Julian Call, Ellie Rogers, Dallas Call, Sofia Call and Roman Call.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Call, son James Call, brothers Wayne and Jerry Weaver, sisters ; Aldis Rasmussen, and Luda Keller.

Atha married Fred Call on September 20, 1941 in Dayton, Idaho. Fred and Atha adopted a baby boy on September 28, 1951 and they named him James Fred. They were sealed together as a family in the Salt Lake temple on June 10, 1957. They bought a home in the Holladay area of Salt Lake City, Utah. Fred owned his own heating and cooling business and Atha worked at an orthodontist office as an officer manager where she later retired from. Atha continued to live in their home even after Fred passed away in 1977. She moved to Brigham City, Utah in the early 90's to be closer to her Sister Luda and later moved up to Pocatello, Idaho.
Atha enjoyed gardening and loved animals of all kinds. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in her various callings. Atha was an avid Utah Jazz fan and even knew the statistics of all the players.
Atha lived the last few years of her life in the Caring Hearts Assisted Living. She enjoyed her room and the view out the window. She enjoyed visits from her family and friends.
Services will be held at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck Idaho on Saturday November 9th at 11:00 in the morning. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Following the service the graveside dedication and burial will be in Whitney, Idaho.
