Beatrice "Bea" Crandall, 93, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at a local care center from causes incident to age. Bea was born on April 22, 1922 in Preston, Idaho to Nels G. Peterson and Carrie Olson, growing up in Preston. She graduated from Preston High School in 1940. She married James K. Crandall on August 30, 1939 in Preston, Idaho. After graduation from high school they made their home on Pole Line Road in Pocatello Idaho. Together, they had three children; James K. Jr., Dwight, and Gene. Bea had a long career at Union Pacific Railroad as a ticket agent, B & B clerk, and crew dispatcher. She retired in 1984. Bea was also a Mary Kay Representative for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with callings in the Relief Society. Bea is survived by her sons, Dwight (Linda), Gene (RaNae) both of Pocatello; 14 grandchildren, Pamela, Jim, David, Joey, Mike, Sandra, Carrie Anderson, Alan, Carrie, Chris, Kevin, Stephanie, JaNiel and Laura; and 50 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, her husband, James K., Son, James K. Jr., and granddaughter, Kathryn. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10 AM at the Pocatello West Stake Building, 3444 Hawthorne Rd. (corner of Hawthorne & Eldredge) Pocatello, ID 83201 with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 am before services at the church. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204. Condolences can be made to the family online at www.colonial-funeralhome.com
