Beverly Jean Haeger, 65, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Beverly was born on November 20, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois to Milton and Dorothea Hyde. When Beverly was 11, the family moved to Preston, Idaho, where she then graduated from Preston High School. When Beverly was 16, she met Richard K. Haeger on a blind date. They continued to date for a few years and were married September 10, 1965 in Preston, Idaho. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in 1967, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Beverly attended Brigham Young University for two years and then graduated from Idaho State University in 1967 with a BA in Business Education. In 1968 Beverly started working for the American Falls School District as High School business teacher, later becoming head of the business department. Beverly taught all kinds of classes over the years such as typing/keyboarding, accounting, bookkeeping, speedwriting etc. and was also an advisor for the Business Professionals of America organization. Beverly taught for 34 years before retiring in 2002. In 1972, Beverly and Richard adopted a son, Michael, and in 1977, they adopted a daughter, Jodi. Beverly and Richard made American Falls their home until they both retired. In 2008 they moved to Pocatello to be closer to their children. Beverly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed helping and serving others and felt blessed by the experiences she had while performing her many church callings throughout the years. Beverly was very artistic and creative. She enjoyed many hobbies and always had a project that she was working on. She also enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and gardening with Richard. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Richard K. Haeger of Pocatello, ID. A son, Michael Haeger, of Idaho Falls, ID and his children, Ashley, Michael and Tyler. A daughter, Jodi Espindola and her husband Joseph Epindola of Pocatello, ID, and their children, Emilee and Antonia. Both of her parents Milton and Dorothea Hyde of Preston, ID, and a sister, Lynn Weiser and her husband, Kevin Weiser of Windsor, CO, and mother-in-law, Theda Haeger, American Falls, ID. Beverly was preceded in death by her grandparents Amasa and Orpha Hyde and Arthur and Eleanor Rackow. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 52nd Ward Chapel, 1700 Kinghorn Dr., Pocatello, with Bishop Jason Bransford, officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, and one hour prior to the services at the Church. Burial will follow at the Fallsview Cemetery in American Falls. Service Recording
