Burt Riedlinger

September 30, 1957 — July 26, 2011

Burt was born on September 30, 1957 to Alvin Riedlinger and Carol Klauser Bybee in Burley, Idaho. He attended schools in Pocatello, but was more about the school of life and could sure share some stories.

Burt met Bill Dubbe in the early 80s when Bill began teaching him the ins and outs of well drilling. I'm sure there are stories to tell here. Well drilling was in Burt's blood, we all knew that.

Burt was courting Bills daughter, Marilyn, for a year or so when he realized this woman was not just any catch and release....she is a keeper.

From that moment on, both of their lives changed forever. They have become best friends and soul mates forever.

Burt and Marilyn had a passion for hunting and fishing. They were doing one or other. Burt would say, “This isn't how it's supposed work!” when Marilyn would out shoot him or catch the biggest and most fish.

Burt was a prankster. He loved to tease the women and better yet, piss them off. You never quite knew when Burt was serious or joking, but always happy and ready to jump in with a comment.

The best way to describe who this man was is by one word...BURT! Burt has a lot of friends. Folks that have their own experiences and stories that would either make you laugh or make you cry. For everyone that knew him, no words need to describe, he will be missed.

We lost a great man Tuesday July 26th, 2011. He will be missed by every heart he touched throughout the years. Burt would want everyone to celebrate the life he lived and not to cry over his passing.
