Carolanne Christensen

Carolanne Christensen, 60, was born July 13, 1956 in Pocatello, Idaho, daughter of Paul and Laurene Christensen (Pocatello). She passed away February 2, 2017 in a Blackfoot care facility, due to complications of cancer. Except for a short time in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carol grew up and lived in Pocatello, Idaho. She attended local schools, graduating from Pocatello High School (1974). She received a medical assistant certificate from Tulsa Junior College (December 1986). Upon returning from Tulsa, she attended Idaho State University and earned her LPN. She enjoyed working at many of the local rest homes and caring for the elderly. She was even privileged to take care of her own grandmother in her final days. Carol belonged to the LDS Church and found great joy in her membership. She loved the outdoors, fishing with her Grandpa Christensen, playing with her nieces and nephews who adored her. She had a great love of animals. She also enjoyed taking pictures. Her pictures will be cherished for years to come. Carol is survived by her parents, Paul and Laurene Christensen (Pocatello); 2 brothers, Paul Kent (Toni) Christensen (South Dakota) and Mark (Cindy) Christensen (Pocatello); 3 sisters, Louise (Kert) Howard (Pocatello), Janet (Jim) Sant, and Sheryl (Jason) Christensen (Pocatello). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11 am at the LDS Chubbuck Stake Building, 450 James Ave. Chubbuck, ID 83202, with a viewing from 10-10:45 am prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Downey Cemetery.
