Chad Douglas Cook, 26, passed away at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Chad was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Calvin Cook and Karla Woods. He was a loving father of three amazing children. Chad was a loving and caring soul who held his friends and family as close as he possibly could. During his youth he was known to play and hang out with friends. He was always smiling when skateboarding and showing off new tricks and scars from failed attempts at completing them. He was never one to shy away from pranks, loving to either scare or surprise anyone and everyone. In his young adult life he loved to spend quality time in the wilderness hiking around the mountains whether with friends by his side or in peaceful solitude. Chad had a passion for cars. He loved going fast. His whole life was spent under the hood of a car. Hed push it to its limits. He was always covered in grease. Chad joined the Army when he was 18. He was stationed in El Paso, Texas. There he met his wife, Kristin Cook. He did one tour of duty in Camp Taji, Iraq. He was a motor mechanic. He kept his passion for engines in his Army career as he did with his home life. He is preceded in death by his son, Landon Cook. Who lost his battle in 2011. He is survived by his two other children, Ryker and Amorai; his loving wife, Kristin Cook, of Utah; father, Calvin Cook of Idaho; mother, Karla Woods of Idaho; sister, Shantay (Taylor) McNee of Idaho and Angie (Byron) Wayment of Oregon. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, December 16 , 2015 from 6 to 8pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18 , 2015 at 11am also at Colonial Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow the funeral at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204 where his ashes will be laid to rest with his son, Landon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Colonial Funeral Home to help with the costs of services. ****Due to technical difficulties beyond our control, the web broadcast of the service for Chad, did not have any sound.
