Charlene Clark, 74, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Charlene was born on September 9, 1949 to George and Wanda Gilbert of Mackay, Idaho. After graduating from Mackay High School in 1967, she pursued higher education at Idaho State University, where she met her beloved husband, Charles Clark.
Charles and Charlene were united in marriage in July 1969 in Elko, Nevada, embarking on a journey that blessed them with two children, Tawnya, and Kristopher.
Throughout her life, Charlene enjoyed devoting time to her passions, which included birdwatching, reading, collecting antiques, traveling, photography and making memories with her family.
In addition to her husband, Charles Clark, Charlene is survived by her loving children, Tawnya (Shane) Turner and Kristopher (Amber) Clark, her grandchildren Elric (Ashley) Schaffner, Wendy Turner, Dylan Clark, and Keegan Clark, and her great-grandchild, Luke Schaffner.
Charlene was preceded by her parents, George and Wanda Gilbert, her sister Martha McCoy, and her brother Robert Gilbert.
Charlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her warmth, kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love.
Services will be held at Wilks Colonial Funeral Home (2005 S 4th Ave, Pocatello, ID) on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The viewing will begin at 11:00 am, with the service starting at 1:00 pm. There will also be a reception following the service at 2925 Michelle St. Pocatello, ID at 3:00 pm. The family requests that attendees dress casually. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Friends of The Pocatello Animal Shelter (P.O. Box 281, Pocatello, ID 83204), a cause dear to Charlene's heart.
