Darren Cleveland

d. June 21, 2009

Heavenly Father called for our beloved daddy, Darren Lee Cleveland home on June 21, 2009, after a sudden illness. Darren was born May 7, 1966, in Pocatello, to Claude Ray and Ronnie Ruby Nelson Cleveland. Darren married Ellita H. Torres on September 31, 1989, in Pocatello. Darren became a father on July 4, 1990, and welcomed their little firecracker, Kourtnie Dawn Cleveland. T'Nesha Marie Cleveland joined this wonderful family on July 17, 1992. Lita and Darren were later divorced but remained close friends. In 2003, Darren was blessed with life when his brother, Gary Cleveland, gave him a kidney. He always said he was grateful for the life he had and the people in it. Darren loved dragons and mystical things, he loved spending time with his kids, helping them through stages of their life like riding a bike, telling stories, playing in the pool outback, building lemonade stands, making fireworks and teaching them to drive. He graduated from Pocatello High in 1985, and recently graduated from Idaho State University in laser engineering. He was accepted to work in Chicago, where he would have his life set for him and his family. He is survived by his daughters, Kourtnie Dawn and T'Nesha Marie Cleveland (both of Pocatello); his ex-wife and close friend, Ellita Schaelling (Washington); his parents, Claude and Ronnie Cleveland (both of Pocatello); brother, Gary Cleveland (Pocatello), Trina Cleveland, (Pocatello), Blaine and Linda Nelson (Utah), Klyne and Karlene Nelson (Utah). He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents, Gerald and Ruby Nelson, Claude Ira and Leona Cleveland. WE MISS YOU, DADDY! Funeral services for Darren will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the LDS chapel located at 225 Oakwood Drive in Pocatello. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home and at the church on Friday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
