David Clark, 75, of Pocatello passed away October 13, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 8, 1935 in Stockton, Utah, the second child of John Henry Clark and Violet Elizabeth Bowman. He grew up in Salt Lake City, and his family moved to Idaho where they lived in American Falls and Pocatello. Dave quit school at the age of 17 to join the US Army. He served his country proudly in active duty and in the reserves for 27 years starting in 1952. He was stationed in the Philippines where he ran the "L.C.R." transporting officers to the different islands in the area. He was also stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He married "Kitty" Miyoko Matsuda and lived 9 years overseas and later moved back to the United States. They were later divorced. He lived and worked in Idaho but continued his services to the Country he loved serving in the 1016 th Idaho National Guard. Dave married his sweetheart, Lois Underwood on June 29, 1984. He worked for J. R. Simplot, Redi-Grow Fertilizer, Bucyrus-Erie, and Double L Manufacturing mostly driving truck. He also volunteered for the City of Pocatello Neighborhood Watch. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #4, and the American Legion Riders. He loved dogs, fishing, camping, cutting and hauling wood, and especially motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lois Clark, Pocatello, brother, Bud Clark, sister, Lois Cates, also surviving are special nieces and nephews, "sons" Cody and Billy, nieces, Nicole, Karly, and Krystal, aunt, Ethel Bowman, special friends, Judy Toney, and Justine Rollins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Johnny, Art, and Melvin. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Aberdeen Cemetery with Rev. Jim Jones conducting. He will also be honored with military rites conducted by Aberdeen American Legion Post 59.
