Deborah J. Hensley

August 1, 1960 — April 9, 2022

Deborah Jean McGhee Hensley was born August 1, 1960, to Charles and Dorothy McGhee.  Deb was the youngest out of four children.  When she was a little child, the family went camping and fishing almost every weekend.  They also took many vacations to Seattle and would spend time in Gooding and Shoshone with family.  There were even many vacations spent driving through Yellowstone Park with a sack full of bread which was used to feed the bears through the car windows.  Deb's dad had a part time job driving a truck to Soda every night after her family had dinner, and some nights she rode with him.  Deb also enjoyed skiing.  When she got out of high school, she attended some classes at ISU.  She worked at Idaho Opal and loved making opal jewelry.  She even made her mom and sister rings that she designed.  Deb really enjoyed that job and loved making special things.  Deb loved making key chains, chimes, and different things out of crystals.  She also enjoyed painting rocks, took great pride in them and gave them to many friends and many family members.

In 1983 Deb married Dusty Hensley.  They had three children:  Triston, Tyler and Tori.

Deb started a job at BIG O working for Vern and Max.  She loved working for them and spent 19 years with their company.

Deb spent summers going to junior rodeos that her children Tyler and Tori participated in, and it was fun for everyone as the whole family would go watch them.  She would make sure her kids were in sports and events, especially football and soccer.  She cared deeply for her children and devoted much time to them.  Dusty and Deb later divorced.

She loved growing a little garden and planting flowers at her house. She was a kind person, had a lot of friends, and will be missed by many.

Deb is survived by her son Tyler Hensley, daughter Tori Hensley, and one very special granddaughter Emily Hensley.  Additionally, she leaves her sister Patty Colvin; a special aunt Lorraine Morrison; a niece Jodi Miller and her two sons Mason and Gavin Miller; nieces Nikki Colvin Frey, Kasey Colvin and Bradee Colvin Bagwell; nephews Blake Christensen and Nick McGhee, and many great nieces and great nephews.

Deb was preceded in death by her daughter Triston, brother Bob McGhee, sister Christy, her parents, a very special fur baby Blaze that was always with her, her grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
