Dennis G. Green

Dennis "Denny" Gail Green, 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a valiant battle with dementia. Denny was born to Terrell and Jeanne Green at home in McCammon, ID on July 5, 1941. He graduated from Marsh Valley High school in 1958 and lived in McCammon until 2008 when he then moved to Pocatello. He married Konnie Neeser September 1, 1961. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1997. They were married for 54 years. Denny started his construction career working for Neeser Construction. He worked as a crane operator for Mitchell Construction for 20 years. He retired from Bannock County Road & Bridge in 2002. He was a member of the LDS Church where he served in several callings. He was a very hard working man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. His greatest passion in life was working on his farm. The best part about our dad was that he loved us unconditionally. The most beautiful and pure form of love. He always gave that love continuously during our lives. He was the hardest working man that we have ever known. He worked tirelessly his whole life to provide every need for his family without asking for anything in return. He was courageous, brave, strong and true. There are not many people that have earned the right for these prestigious titles, but he did. He provided the shining example of what a Dad should be. He was the best Grandpa in the world. The bond he created and the values he instilled will forever remain. Denny is survived by his wife, Konnie; daughters, Debbi (Brooks) Nelson, Sharlene (Jeff) Schibonski, Cindy (Mike) McCormick; mother, Jeanne Green; sisters, Christine Payne, Julie (Stan) Dawson, Sheree (Bryce) Jardine; 6 grandchildren, Nick, Kody, Denny, Max, Sophie and Michael; 5 great-grandchildren, Macy, Drake, Kinzley, Kyler, and Tytan Denny. He was preceded in death by his father, Terrell Green; and brother-in-law, Ross Payne. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2 pm at the LDS McCammon Stake Center with a viewing for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, Idaho.
