Dono Vaughn Knight, 66, passed away peacefully December 15, 2012 surrounded by loving family at Portneuf Regional Hospital. Dono was born July 8, 1946 in Rupert Idaho to Charles Rulon Knight and Zena Janey Dockstader Knight. He lived and went to school in Rupert and Oakley Idaho. He lived with his Mom and step dad Hap Peterson in Burley before going to live in Twin Falls at Purple Sage Manor. There he met the love of his life, Mary Christine Rhodehouse. They were married in Chubbuck ID August 22, 1987 and were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple August 22, 1995. Dono was a devoted husband to Mary. They moved to Pocatello in 1994. Dono worked at Red Lobster and with Swift for many years. They bought their own home in Pocatello in 1995 and were very proud of being home owners. Dono loved working on his knitting board, movies, TV and traveling, going to church and Special Mutual, and bowling. He and Mary were both Gold Medal winners in bowling for Special Olympics. They were also Idaho's People with Disabilities representatives in 1995. Dono was the "go to" person for family history as he always remembered every one and their important dates for many generations back and forward. Dono is survived by siblings Glen Knight of Blackrock, ID, Karol and Jay Gray of Blackfoot ID, Boyde and Gail Knight of Blackfoot ID, and Barbara Knight of Salt Lake City UT and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Christine, his father, his mom and step dad and grandparents. He was also preceded by his siblings Zena Marie Knight, Judy and Stephen Anderson, Roy Knight, and Burnell and Sharon Knight, niece Linda Knight and nephew Daryl Knight, and also many Uncles and Aunts and Cousins whom he always remembered. He also considered Mary's family as his too. Funeral Services will be Friday December 21,2012, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South Fourth Avenue, Pocatello Idaho. Viewing to be at 1:00 pm with services at 2:00 pm.
