After 22 years of missing her husband Dorothy Angelene Nelson Tracy, 85, returned to the loving embrace of her beloved Weldon on Friday, November 28, 2014. Dorothy was born November 3, 1929 to Harold Hans Nelson and Mary Lucille Hardy in Twin Falls, Idaho. She attended schools in Twin Falls and Rupert, Idaho. She met Weldon while attending Rupert High School. Dorothy and Weldon were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 3, 1947. To this union came 5 children: Vaughn, Angie, Perry, Bonnie, and Oscar. Later Leslie joined the family as a foster son. They resided in Rupert, Burley, and Pocatello-Chubbuck area. She worked for many years in the potato processing factories near Burley. She enjoyed being mainly a homemaker, mother, wife, and grandmother. She was also the grandmother to the neighborhood children. Dorothy was an active member in the LDS church. She held positions in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society. She was an avid Genealogist. Visiting Teaching was her favorite calling. She was very talented with her hands. She crocheted many beautiful things, winning ribbons at county fairs. Her favorite talent was quilting. She shared many of the quilts with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and was blessed with her grandmothers secret recipe for baked beans, which she shared with everyone that asked. Her 1951 Pfaff sewing machine was keep busy making clothes and other projects for her family and friends until her hands, and eyes no longer let her do them. She is survived by her brother Don Nelson, her children: Vaughn (Pam) Tracy, Angie (David) Jones, Bonnie Tracy, Oscar (Melodie) Tracy, Raymona Tracy (Daughter-in-law), and Les Krivanec (Foster son). She had numerous nieces and nephews, 17 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren. Proceeding her in death: Her parents, Weldon Tracy (husband), Della Mae Nelson (sister), Perry Tracy (son), and 2 grand children Sarah and Levi Tracy. A viewing will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11 AM at the LDS Tyhee Stake Building, 12146 Tyhee Rd. (Corner of Tyhee & Moonglow) with a viewing from 10 to 10:45 AM prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley, ID. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the LDS Missionary fund or Primary Childrens Hospital.
