Douglas James Black

April 20, 1966 — July 18, 2011

POCATELLO-Douglas James Black, 45, of Pocatello and Boise, passed away Monday, July 18th, 2011.

Doug was born April 20, 1966, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Jim and Roberta Black. He graduated from Highland High School in 1985. Doug was a member of the 1984 Highland Ram State Championship Football Team. Doug graduated from Idaho State University in Medical Administration in 1994.

Doug enjoyed so much from snow to water skiing, he rode motorcycles and ATV's, and loved the outdoors. He was always happiest when at the cabin in Island Park. It was very typical to find Doug out enjoying this beautiful country. He delighted in many of our wild game: steelhead, trout, venison, and duck.
Doug always took an active part in the younger generation, Amanda, Allen, Jessie, Trent, Vanessa, Kaden, AJ, Lane, Jayci and Mia just to name a few. Be it from supporting sports to encouraging them to do their best at whatever they strived for or Doug was there to just help hold a dolly or play tag.

Doug loved his friends and family. He was always fun at a gathering. Doug touched so many lives with his kind heart, many of us longed to be in his company.

Please join us from 2pm-4pm on July 30, 2011 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. 208-238-8000, for a celebration of Doug's life.
