POCATELLO - Edmund Lange, 87, passed away peacefully in his home on January 5, 2013, surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Edmund was born on September 21, 1925, in Reading, Pennsylvania, to J. Edmund and Marie Lange. He graduated high school and continued on to dental school at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On September 2, 1950, Edmund married Virginia Ruth Anderson in Reading, Pennsylvania. He then became a commissioned officer in the United States Navy where he served in Hawaii for two years. Edmund and Virginia then moved back to Reading, Pennsylvania, where Edmund was a general dentist for approximately 45 years. Upon his retirement, they moved to Pocatello, Idaho. Edmund is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia, and three daughters Cynthia L. Naftzger (Ernest) of Pocatello, Idaho; Carol L. Olson of Phoenix, Arizona, and Christina B. Lange of Glendale, California. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition his sister Margaret Reppert of Reading, Pennsylvania. Edmund was preceded in death by his parents and son, Edmund Allen Lange. Edmund was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed. Throughout his life he was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. A Celebration of Life service will occur at a future date. Colonial Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements and condolences may be sent to his beloved wife and family members.
