Elizabeth Lapreal Kimball

June 17, 2021 — October 7, 2021

From the very moment the test was positive, she was loved. From the despair and grief of a loss, we were uplifted by the news of a new baby on the way. Patiently we waited, wanting to know if we should be buying stuff for a boy or a girl. The day of the gender reveal the crowd was split down the middle. Those rooting for a boy seemingly on one side and those hoping for girl on the other. When the balloon burst and the pink powder exploded the crowd went wild. The grandmas secretly deciding in their minds all the adorable baby clothes they would rush to buy. Stocked with all the needed amenities, we all sat back and waited.

7 days after her due date, with help from a labor induction. Elizabeth LaPreal Kimball blessed us all with her presence on June 17, 2021 at 5:53 pm. She came out yelling her displeasure with being disturbed from her warm and comfy surroundings. She was sure she should have been able to stay as long as she pleased. Birth must have been tiring for Baby Lizzie, she was intent on sleeping even when she was supposed to be eating. After a few days, nursing became easier and she started to enjoy being cuddled and fed by her Mama.

Coming home from the hospital meant Lizzie had an endless supply of family to hold her at all times. She felt very confidently this was how life was supposed to be and would tolerate nothing less. Lizzie insisted someone always be paying attention to her or holding her. Which, to be honest, there was never a time when there wasn’t a pair of willing arms to hold her. As she grew and developed, the first thing she learned to do was smile. She smiled long before most babies do. Lizzie had the most beautiful smile and she definitely knew how to use it to her advantage. Lizzie could always be found napping with someone, giggling at being tickled or announcing her displeasure at being put down for the smallest amount of time.

Lizzie enjoyed watching TV on the rare occasion she was sitting in her bouncer. She loved mickey mouse clubhouse, Hey Bear Sensory and Bubble Guppies. She had just started to understand the use of her hands and would often times reach out to touch her mom and dad’s phone when these shows were being played on them. One of Lizzie’s most favorite things was napping in GiGi & Grandpa’s bed. It didn’t matter who was with her, as long as she had multiple dogs and cats surrounding her. Probably the only thing Lizzie liked more than napping, was nursing. She would use the tiny little fingers to cling on to whatever skin she could find. Ensuring nobody was going to interrupt her eating.

Never has there been such a happy child. Lizzie smiled almost constantly and her giggle could stop anyone in their tracks. Anyone who met her couldn’t help but be happy when she smiled and cooed at them. She was a constant reason for happiness. Lizzie saved more than one person by simply being here with us. Her Momma and Daddy are both on better tracks in life because Lizzie loves them. Her memories will forever push us all to be better.
