Elizabeth Payne

d. February 16, 2015

Elizabeth Jean Payne was born on February 6, 2001 and passed away on February 16, 2015. She is peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Elizabeth was born and raised in Chubbuck, Idaho, and baptized at Grace Lutheran Church. She was Elizabeth to her mom and dad, Liz to her friends, and Lizzy to her family. She was so smart and got straight As in school and was one of the best athletes in every sport she challenged. She tried dance for one year and decided sports were her passion in life. Elizabeth excelled from an early age playing T-ball and just continued with her wonderful sports including softball, volley ball, and basketball. Talked out of trying-out for football she continued to play football at lunch time with her great friends. P.E. was her favorite class because she could play more sports. Elizabeth also loved motocross (after her Uncle Stacy convinced her that riding a bike was great) and her cousin, Joe, would take her to the track and challenge her even more. Even during quiet times Elizabeth wanted to compete. From a very young age she would want to play Gin Rummy so she could learn and win. She always had a smile for everyone and never had a bad thing to say about people. She would be the first to try and cheer someone up if she thought they were down. Elizabeth and her mom were the best of friends. She was her daddy's little rockstar. She was always such a happy and cheerful girl. Elizabeth attended schools at Ellis Elementary and Alameda Middle School. She was excited as she planned her class schedule for Highland High School for the fall. She was an exceptional student and excelled in her honors classes. Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Pamela Meyer Payne (Dale Miller) and Brian Payne (Tania Warner), and her little brother, Christopher Payne; her Grandparents, Alvin and Vivian Meyer (Pocatello) and Charles Payne (Missouri). Also surviving Elizabeth are her Great Grandpa, Walter and Rose Will (Hazelton, ID); uncles, Stacy Meyer (Pocatello), Spencer and Jessica Meyer (Burley), Justin and Debbi Meyer (Pocatello); cousins, Joe, Kellyrae, Melina, Michael, Anthony, Trevor, Daniel, and Preston; and a lot of extended family. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her Great Granny, Dorothy Will (Hazelton, ID), Grandma, Lois Payne (Missouri), and Great Grandparents, Albert and Elma Meyer (Twin Falls).
