POCATELLO - George "Richard" Pearson 76, of Pocatello passed away January 19, 2011 at the Safe Haven Hospital and Care Center. Richard was born April 9, 1934 to Sam and Ardice Pearson in Shelly, Idaho. He grew up in Shelly and graduated high school there. He married Carla Robinett in Firth, Idaho November 29, 1952. They lived in Washington for 1 year while he went to Auto Body School. Richard and Carla also lived in Shelly, Makay, Howe, and Kimberly, Idaho,Twin Bridges Montana then in Pocatello. He worked for the Bill Brockman Ranch, Clint Bitton Ranch, the Hartman ranch and retired from Bradly Life Stock. His hobbies included Riding Horses, irrigating, running ranch machinery, fishing and hunting, building fence, spending time with his family and taking naps in his favorite chair. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Ardis Pearson, his sister Alice Pearson Thurman and his in-laws Lloyd and Marie Robinett. He is survived by his wife Carla Pearson, daughter Cathie (Richard) Cardona of Shelly, Sons Steve (Reva) Pearson of Twin Falls, Glen Pearson of Jerome, David (Suzie) Pearson of Pocatello, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday 24 at 2:00 p.m at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. in Pocatello Idaho. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. The family will bury his Ashes in Dubois in a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Red Cross.
