Hazel T. Marley

POCATELLO - Hazel Marley, 94, of Pocatello, was born on November 4, 1916 and passed away on January 30, 2011. Hazel spent all of her early years in Arimo, Idaho, going from grade school through high school. She married Ivan M. Marley on December 24, 1935. They were later sealed in the temple. They then moved to Oregon. They also had a homestead in Washington State. They moved back to Idaho in 1945 where they stayed. Hazel was a homemaker raising their five children. She also helped with the State and County elections. Hazel loved teaching primary in the L. D. S. church. Hazel loved to crochet afghans, play pinochle, and do crossword puzzles. She also liked watching basketball and baseball. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving family are: Maynard (Gloria) Marley of McCammon, ID, Carroll Beutler of McCammon, ID, Deby Maxwell of Rupert, ID, Todd (Claudia) Marley of Pocatello, ID, and Teena Marley of Pocatello. Hazel was blessed with ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a great-great-grandchild on the way. Hazel was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Ivan, a son-in-law: Tex Beutler, and a great-grandson: Taylor Amendola. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow services at the Arimo Cemetery.
