Helen Margaret King

Helen Margaret (Dredge) King, 89, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center. She was born November 2, 1924 in La Grande, Oregon, the daughter of Wilford and Hazel (Ovard) Ivie. She married Nathan E. Dredge December 20, 1945 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They raised 7 children. She worked for many years at Garrett Freight Lines. She served in all organizations in the church and served a full time mission in Denver, Colorado. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, the Literary Club, and Returned Sister Missionary Club. On January 20, 1994 she married Owen King. They later served an Employment Church Service Mission. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nathan; brothers, Ralph and Kenneth Ivie; sister, Gene Gines; son, William Richard; and a grandson, Colin Dredge. She is survived by her husband, Owen King, Pocatello, ID; sons, Jerry, Pocatello, ID, Mike, Columbia Falls Montana, Bruce King, Mathis, Texas; daughters, Linda Billips, West Minister, Colorado, Chris Auger, Pocatello, ID. Sons, Andrew and Terrance Dredge, Pocatello, ID, Stephen Dredge, Boise, ID, Wilford Dredge, Farmington, Utah; daughters, Anita Bingham, St. George, Utah, Cheryl Hardway, Russellville, Arkansas, and Mary Cook, Pocatello, ID; 34 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Her greatest concern and love was for her family. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11 AM at the LDS Church, located at 550 W. Cedar St. Pocatello, ID. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500 and also one hour prior to services at the church.
