Isaiah Nathan Ish

d. April 21, 2014

Isaiah Nathan Ish, 29, passed away April 21, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Isaiah was born to Jonathan Ish and the late Denise Ricker Ish, July 13, 1984 in Pocatello. He was a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and a lifelong resident of the Fort Hall Reservation. He was the father of three children, with his former partner and lifelong trusted friend, Tess Ridley, daughter, Laniece Ish, and sons, Jamaal Ish and Jalil Ish. Isaiah loved his children above everything and is now their constant guardian angel. Isaiah attended Tyhee Elementary, Riverside Boarding School and graduated from Sho-Ban High in Fort Hall. He continued to live at Fort Hall where he spent time with his Ish, Edmo, Ricker, and other family members. He always enjoyed the family gatherings where he and his Eagle Road Crew built years of memories for them to hold close. Isaiah was as fun loving and spontaneous as he was outspoken and blunt. Always up on the newest styles, he was a favorite at every party, and instigated the best of times among his many friends. He worked as a skilled laborer on various construction jobs. He was a Los Angeles Lakers fan and enjoyed hanging out with his dad. He also liked listening to rhythm and blues music. He is survived by his father, Jonathan R. Ish, Fort Hall; his three children, Laniece, Jamaal and Jalil Ish; his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Edmo Ish; Tess Ridley, (mother of children); his companion, Eleena Eldridge, all of Fort Hall; uncles, Clinton Ricker, Idaho Falls, Martin Ish, Frank Ish, and Nathaniel Ish; aunts, Annie Ish, Inelda Ish Findle, Euless, Texas; Nancy Eschief-Murillo, Fort Hall, along with numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise Ricker Ish; his maternal grandmother, Bernadine Eschief Ricker; paternal grandfather, Nathan Ish Jr. and maternal grandfather Merlin Ricker. Family will receive friends at Bonnie Edmo Ish residence located at East Agency Road in Fort Hall, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. through Friday, April 25, 2014 to 1 p.m. where burial will then take place at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Cemetery in Fort Hall.
