POCATELLO-Jane Cherry Kay, 85, passed away on Sunday morning July 3, 2011 at her home from natural causes with her loving family at her side. She was born on November 21, 1925 in Victor, Idaho the daughter of Thomas and Mahala (Alldredge) Cherry. Jane attended grade school in Victor, Idaho. She then attended junior high at Irving in Pocatello and part of her high school years at Pocatello High but graduated from Victor High School. Jane married Myrl James Kay in Bozeman, Montana on September 27, 1946 and this union was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 17, 1981. Myrl preceded Jane in death after 55 years of marriage in November of 2001. As a member of the LDS Church she served as a Primary Organist, Visiting Teacher, Relief Society Secretary, Primary Teacher, and was a temple worker in the Idaho Falls Temple for approximately two years. She also had a Family History calling in name extracting. She liked flowers, gardening, music, camping, and loved her family and the time spent with them. Jane is survived by son, Denny (Molly) Kay of Juneau, Alaska, daughter, Vicki Kay and son, Kevin (Brenda) Kay both of Pocatello; four grandchildren, Jim (Marcia) Kay, Kyrstin Kay, Jordan Kay, Tyson Kay; four great grandchildren, Molly Ann Kay, Brent Kay, Keira Kay and MacKenzie Kay. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a son, Brent David Kay; five brothers and one sister. Services for Jane will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the 9th Ward LDS Lakeview Chapel located at 1440 Lakeview Drive. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the Relief Society room at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Service Recording
