Jerald F Cloward

Jerald F Cloward (Jerry), 64, passed away February 28, 2023, in his Pocatello home.

Jerry was born October 27, 1958, to Beverly and Boyd Cloward in Blackfoot, Idaho, where he lived and grew up with his mom, dad and sister, Katherine.

Jerry graduated from Blackfoot High School and immediately began his long successful career with INL. Jerry retired the first time from INL in 2014. They quickly wanted him to bring back his expertise and Jerry went back to work for INL for a few more years until he decided to officially give retirement a shot. Jerry could not stay away from hard work for long and worked for several other companies when not at INL. Jerry was highly skilled and able to operate any heavy machinery.

Jerry was a man of many talents. In his free time, Jerry became a pilot and loved flying around his personal plane and regretted when he sold it. There was not a stringed instrument Jerry could not play and had also taught guitar lessons.

Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends and was always a great listener with the best advice. Jerry loved the open road and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. Jerry was a complete sci-fi lover and believed the weirder the better.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Beverly Cloward; son, Jason Cloward; bonus children, Kellyrae Gholston and Joseph Meyer; his nieces, Monica Welch and Angela Burnham; his 5 grandchildren that meant the world to him, Keiky Gholston, Eyssence Gholston, Cruze Meyer, Lane Meyer and Landon Gunter, and many more family and friends who cared for him dearly.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father Boyd Cloward and his sister Katherine Wilcox.

Services are tentatively planned for June 17, 2023, at OK Ward Park.
