Joel Chandler

Joel Chandler, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at his home with family members by his side.

Joel was born July 24, 1933 in Pocatello, Idaho to Lorenzo and Eletha (Jockumsen) Chandler. He was raised and educated in Pocatello. He married his sweetheart, Polly McCurry on June 16, 1956.

Joel worked for Union Pacific Railroad for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to all in need. He was a perfect example for all of us. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. We love you. You were the best husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Joel is survived by his wife, Polly Chandler, Pocatello; son, Joey (Renee) Chandler, Chubbuck; granddaughter, Caitlyn Chandler, Chubbuck; grandson, Dillon, Chubbuck; brother, Robert (Shirley) Chandler, Blackfoot; sister, Dorothy (Don) Christensen, Pocatello; and brother, Lanny Chandler, Pocatello.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents.

As were his wishes, no public services will be held at this time.
