Julia Heer Isaak

POCATELLO - Julia Rae (Heer) Isaak, 56, of Aberdeen, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Portneuf Medical Center, after battling with COPD with her family by her side. She was born on March 14, 1955 in American Falls, Idaho, to Edwin and Martha (Underwood) Heer. She was raised in Aberdeen for most of her life. When she was in her early teens she went to stay with her sister in Washington for a few years before returning to the Aberdeen area. Julia married Carlos De La Cruz in 1972, and they later divorced. She married Leonard Isaak in 1982, and they later divorced. Julia was blessed with two children, Jenifer (Marie) and Augustus (Joe). She attended ISU VoTec and received a degree in Drafting in 1994 and moved to Las Vegas following to work in her field until returning home seven years ago to spend time with her family and watch her grandchildren grow. Julia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was dedicated to genealogy, Relief Society and the Visiting Teaching program. She is survived by her son Augustus J Isaak of Boise, Idaho; daughter Jenifer M Isaak-Sprayberry; son-in-law Christopher; grandsons Collin, Gowen, and Garradyn; sister Dyanna (Rusty) Hicks of Anchorage, Alaska; brother Clinton Heer of Aberdeen; sister Charlotte (Chuck) Johnson of Norman, Oklahoma; brother Victor Heer of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Edwin Leroy Heer. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Aberdeen LDS 1 st Ward Chapel. Burial will follow the memorial service at the Aberdeen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be sent to Colonial Funeral Home.
