Katherine "Kathy" Zahm

Katherine Ann (Anderson) Zahm, 49, passed away at her home on October 31, 2013 from natural causes. Kathy was born March 23, 1964 in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was raised by her adoptive parents Lyman and Ella Anderson. She attended Pocatello High School and later obtained her HSE. Kathy married Terry Goodwin in 1985. They had two children, Amanda and Nicholas. They were later divorced. Kathy married the love of her life, Shayne Zahm and they spent many happy years together. Kathy was currently employed by Belmont Management as a care aide. Kathy was very happy at this job and truly enjoyed her work with the residents as well as co-workers. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter, son and granddaughter and playing poker with her friends from the Friendship Club, where she was also involved. Kathy was very selfless and cared about everyone else, and not so much about herself. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Amanda Goodwin (Kyle Alexy)and granddaughter Madison; son, Nicholas Goodwin and by Doug Shepherd, her significant other all of Pocatello, Idaho; sister, Wendy Nieto of Jerome, ID and brother John Borden of Boise, Id. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shayne Zahm, her sister, Ruthann Taylor and her parents Lyman and Ella Anderson. There will be a memorial potluck in her honor at 3 pm, Sunday, November 10 at the Friendship Club, 745 S. 1st.
