Leman Whited

Leman Whited, 80, passed away July 13, 2009. He was born May 21, 1929, in Rayborn, Missouri the oldest of six children to Vern and Emily (Ellis) Whited. Leman left home at age 14 and eventually ended up in Idaho in 1947. He met Ardith LaRae Harris in 1949 and they were married November 17, 1949 in Pocatello, Idaho. Together they had a son, Dustin Leman Whited. Leman worked for IML Interstate Motor Lines for 16 years. In 1962 he started his concrete company L A Concrete. Later his son, Dusty worked into ownership in 2004. Leman still continued to work with the business until present. He was a hard worker, often times working three jobs at a time. Leman loved to work. He liked hunting and fishing and especially his grandkids, Justin and Loran. He is survived by his wife, Ardith of 59 years, son, Dustin (Holly) Whited, American Falls, ID, grandchildren, Justin and Loran; brothers, Dale Ellis, Missouri, Bill Whited, Buhl, ID, Bill Wall, Chubbuck, ID and Loman Lathrom, Lawrence, KS, a sister, Bonnie Clark, Glendale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave, Pocatello. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Falls View Cemetery in American Falls, Idaho.
