Leonard Dean Chandler

Leonard Dean Chandler, 82, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away at home on March 31, 2017. He was born July 16, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho to Leonard Charles Chandler and Viola Bucher. Alice Chandler instilled the values Leonard carried all his life; she was the woman who raised him. In 1955 he married the love his life, Marie Ellen North, in Pocatello where they have resided for the years to follow. Leonard was an employee for the City of Pocatello Water Department for 38 years and was also a part of the Army National Guard for nine years. Leonard and Marie had three children, Leonard "Butch" (Sheila) Chandler, Kevin Chandler, and Cora (Kent) Johns. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, and in his later years; anything he could do with family brought him joy. Leonard and Marie are blessed with 10 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and 3 great- great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters; brothers-in-law; and one grandson. There will be a gathering announced at a later date.
