Linda K. Raschke

December 28, 1943 — December 7, 2016

Linda K. Raschke, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her home, surrounded by family, following an extended illness

Linda was born on December 28, 1943 in Pocatello, Idaho to Dan and Ellen Kunz. She was the oldest of five children. She attended schools in Pocatello and continued her education at ISU.
Linda married Paul W. Raschke in 1962 in Elko, Nevada and were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they had four children, Maryellen, Scott, Jason, and Robert, and Margie Barton, who has always been like a daughter to the family. Linda and Paul moved often in their early years, raising their family in Montana, Washington and eventually moving home to Pocatello. Linda worked numerous jobs in her early years, spending the majority of her time at El Cielito and Heinz . It was during her time spent working at the family business of El Cielito that Linda displayed her talents and hard work as a caterer. Working side by side next to her parents and family, Linda forged lifelong relationships with many friends throughout Southeast Idaho.

Linda always put her family first, dedicating her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. Her unconditional love for her family always came first and she would do anything for any of them at any given time. She faithfully served as the "Granny Nanny" taking care of her grandkids and many others, loving them, feeding them and being their best friend and greatest cheerleader. She was an accomplished cook, cake decorator, and always ready to take a warm meal to someone in need. She loved to travel, always looking forward to a trip to Yellowstone National Park, cruising the seas, or just a car ride to get away. A devoted wife, Linda made certain all parts of the family home were in order and well taken care of.

Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a very strong faith and loved to serve others. She served in a variety of capacities and would spring into action at a moment's notice.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul; children Maryellen (Erick), Pocatello, Scott (Candace), Inkom, Jason (Desani), Pocatello, and Robert (Melissa), Pocatello, Margie (Elbert) Barton, Mississippi ; brothers Kent (Kitty) Kunz, Boise, Rick (Jean) Kunz, Pocatello, and sister-in-law Janiel Kunz, American Falls, Grandchildren; Zack Hendricks, Kash Hieb, Ashley King, Aubri Arnold, Derek Raschke, Jaylen Ray, Megan Raschke, Carly Petersen, Sheby Hall, Taylor, Talon and Aly Raschke, Hannah and Mia Raschke; and 5 Great Grandchildren.
