Lowell J. Bevan

February 11, 1934 — April 12, 2017

Lowell J Bevan of Pocatello Idaho passed away of congestive heart failure Wednesday April 12, 2017 at his home in Tyhee, surrounded by family and friends.

Lowell was born February 11 1934 in Rexburg, Idaho and raised in the beloved Teton Valley on a ranch up Horseshoe canyon at Driggs, Idaho. He was in heaven with the wilderness and a horse at his disposal.

His life spanned from horse and wagon days to trying to figure out the remote on his TV. He loved anything outdoors as long as it included a horse. He has put shoes on a thousand horses and trained a hundred more. He was employed by JR Simplot for over 40 years.

He married LuDeen Hiner in the Idaho Falls LDS temple June 15 1955 Their marriage was blessed with four beautiful daughters whom they raised to love God, family, and the great outdoors.

They raised their family in the Tyhee area where Lowell and LuDeen spent many hours serving everyone around them. They appreciated their wonderful neighbors and were good neighbors in return.

Lowell and LuDeen served as service missionaries in the Fort Hall branch. They also served in the Idaho Falls temple for many years.

Preceding Lowell in death is his wife LuDeen; his parents Heber Ross Bevan and Eliza Ann Higley; a brother Glen Bevan (Yvonne); and a sister Bessie Rudolph (George Leslie).

He is survived by his four daughters: Jessie Fuhriman (Rick); Laurie Hatch (Ross); Treina Stuart (Dean); Helen Arbon (Rod); 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; sisters Ellen Jones (Mel); Lucy Mae Clark (Ronald); and numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. His friendly happy smile will be sorely missed.
