Loyd Dee Burnside, 68, born May 26, 1955 to Vernile and Donna (Douglass) Burnside, in Driggs, Idaho. He passed away June 10, 2023, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Loyd grew up in Driggs, Idaho where he worked on the family farm which he loved. During his free time, he loved fishing, camping, riding horses and snowmobiling. He was the oldest of 7 children. He moved to Idaho Falls during his junior year in high school. Loyd had a great love of animals, and his favorites were a donkey named Jasper and a childhood dog named Tinkerbell. He joined the U.S. Army out of high school and served for 2 years where he made a lot of friends and met his future wife Marie (Mott) Burnside. They were married March 19, 1976 (but were later divorced) They started a family in 1979 with the birth of their first son Joshua, followed by Jason a year later, and then Dee Jay completed their family. After serving in the Army, Loyd came back to Idaho and went to work on the Union Pacific Railroad working with his father and younger brother Kelly. Loyd had many health challenges through the years and made many great friends at Broadway Fields. The residents and staff loved Loyd and he loved them. He struggled with many issues, but he loved his friends and family deeply and we loved him in return. Loyd truly had a big heart and appreciated everything that people did for him and the time they spent with him. He was so excited to have a recent visit from Aunt Valoie and Aunt Judy recently.
