Madge Smith Larson, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Four Corners Health Center in Durango, Colorado. She passed away five days before her 100 th birthday. She was born to Michael Smith and Mable (Sheppard) Smith on March 26, 1914, in Tetonia, Idaho. On February 7, 1932, she married Lorin W. Larson in Basalt, Idaho. They had four children. She loved singing, music, dancing, reading, crocheting, puzzles, but most of all, she loved her family. Madge was a member of the LDS church. She is survived by her brother Ted Smith, Pleasant View, UT, and her daughter Linda (Steve) Hine, Bayfield, CO; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, three children Janice Garritson, Val Larson, and LeMaun Larson; parents, two brothers, and two sisters. A funeral will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11 AM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, 208-233-1500. Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM, Saturday, at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, 1215 N. 950 E.
