Margaret Mary Dean

Margaret Mary Dean, 87, passed away on June 25, 2020.

Margaret was born in Lynndyl Utah on November 24, 1932 to James and Mary Smith. She grew up and attended Delta High School. She married Ellwood E. Dean on January 5, 1951.

While Ellwood was in the Navy they lived in several locations nationwide until he retired in 1967. They lived in Colorado until 1971 when they moved to West Valley City, Utah. Ellwood passed away on August 16, 1989. Margaret continued to reside in Utah until 2011 when she moved in with her daughter Sharon in Aberdeen, Idaho until the time of her passing.

Her hobbies and interests included bowling and crocheting. Her favorite way to spend time was being with her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Margaret is survived by her son Allen Dean of Sparks, NV; daughter Sharon (Dennis) Jenkins of Aberdeen, ID; son Rowland (Lynne) Dean of Daphne, AL; son Harry (GiGi) Dean of West Covina, CA, as well as 16 grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Ellwood Dean, daughter Mary Connin, and son Darrell Dean.

A viewing will be held in her honor from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S Sandy, UT 84092. A graveside service will follow beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
