Margaret (Smith) McMahen, 91, passed away on February 14, 2017 at a local care center. Margaret was born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 16, 1925 to Clark and Mary Ames. She married Robert LeRoy Smith in 1942. They were married 53 years until his passing in 1995. She then married Billie Bob McMahen. Margaret worked at the St. Anthony and Bannock Memorial Hospital retiring in 1990. After retirement, she volunteered as a foster grandparent at Green Acres School. She belonged to the LDS church (12 th ward). Margaret was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Robert C. (Judy) Smith, Toole, UT, Maxine (Larry) Williams, Boise, ID, Monty (Phillis) Smith, Thomson Falls, MT, Lora May (Jim) Epling, Montrose, CO, Mary J. (Jack) Sanders, Belgrade, MT, Linda L. (Terry) Quinn, Belgrade, MT, Julie Ann (Wayne) Martin, Pocatello, ID; 27 grandchildren; 44+ great-grandchildren; and 15+ great-great-grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Clark Ames; mother, Mary Ames; 8 brothers; 1 st husband, Robert LeRoy Smith, 2 nd husband, Billie Bob McMahen; and son, Maurice L. Smith. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10 am at the LDS Indian Hills Ward Chapel, 5425 Bannock Hwy. Pocatello, ID 83204, with a viewing from 9-10 am prior at the church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
