Maria Anna Roberts

Maria Anna Roberts, 77, passed away peacefully June 15, 2013 at her home in Pocatello surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born January 1, 1936 in New Jersey to Louis and Victoria DeClerico. She married Robert Devenberg in 1955, and they had three children together. In 1986, she married Jon Roberts. They just celebrated their 27 th wedding anniversary on June 5 th . Maria was a passionate and beautiful spirit. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them. She especially loved visiting family on the east coast and seeing the leaves change color in the fall. Her life was full of love and laughter and she was blessed to always have her family nearby and the support of dear friends including Claudette Castillo, Rhonda Akey and Scott Strong. Maria could always be found with a smile on her face and an Elvis song in her heart. Her time on this earth will always be treasured and celebrated. Maria is survived by her husband Jon, her sons Troy Devenberg (Kathy) and Wes Devenberg (Lisa), her daughter Angela Strong, her brother Larry DeClerico, her sister Sharon DeClerico and also her sister-in-law Robin Roberts. She has 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with another due later this year. She also has many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Lois. We would like to thank the staff at Encompass for the special care given to Maria. Funeral services will be conducted at Colonial Funeral Home Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 4pm with a viewing one hour prior. A reception will follow at the LDS chapel located at 300 E Chapel Road in Pocatello. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Maria's name to the American Cancer Society.
