Mary E. Hencley of Fort Hall, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at PMC with her family by her side. She was born September 1947 to Albert L. and Annie C. Owens Grant in Rexburg, Idaho. Mary attended grade school in Fort Hall and junior high and high school in Blackfoot, Idaho. Mary was married to the love of her life, Morgan R. Hencley, in March of 1964 in Fort Hall, Idaho. They were married for over 51 years before Morgan passed away. Later they welcomed their only son, Wesley (Wes) Hencley in January of 1966. Mary was employed at AMIS (On Semiconductor) for 27 years before she retired in May of 2006. Mary had many talents and hobbies, including writing poetry and short stories, reading, gardening, and decorating and coordinating parties for her family and friends. She loved all holidays, but Easter was her favorite. Every year she spent countless hours planning her famous Easter party for everyone to enjoy. She is survived by her son, Wes; granddaughters, Logan Hencley, Blackfoot, Michealene Howell, Boise, Elise Peterson, California; and 3 great-grandsons; sisters, Nelda (Tater) Wellard, Fort Hall, Patty Larsen, Eugene, Oregon; brothers, Fred (Elsie) Grant, Ogden, UT, Jerry (Donna) Grant, Fort Hall, Bill (Dong Ai) Grant, Chubbuck; In-laws, Marsha & Lon Anderson, Coe Ann Southworth, Roy Graham, Fort Hall, and Wanda Ternus, Winnemucca, NV. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that adored her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan; parents, Albert L. and Annie C. Grant; mother and father in-law, Omar and Dora Hencley; sisters in-law, Gloria Reed and Aloma Graham; and brothers in-law, Dick Hencley and Chuck Ternus. At Marys request, no formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00pm at her residence in Fort Hall on Hencley Lane.
