Michael Eugene Baxter

Michael "Mike" Eugene Baxter, 67, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Saturday evening, December 19, 2015. He was born on May 14, 1948 in Spokane, Washington where he grew up and attended schools. He married Linda Anderson and they had two sons, Jarrod and James. Mike retired from the INL after 33 years of employment. Mike was an accomplished musician and played 13 musical instruments but loved rhythm and blues and rock and roll. He was inspired by the music legends, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton, to name a few. Mike was fondly remembered as a loving father and devoted husband. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Baxter; two sons, Jarrod and James (Amber) Baxter; and one sister, Linda Cate. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen White. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500, with a viewing from 12:30 to 1:30 pm before services.
