Norma Call Bettis passed from this life on February 15, 2015 from complications due to Alzheimers. She was born in Pocatello Idaho to Roscoe and Hazel Call October 16, 1932. She was the eighth of nine children. Norma married her sweetheart Oliver Lee Bettis on March 15, 1948. Norma worked as a cook, waitress, and a teachers aide. Norma was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Norma served in various callings and loved serving as a Relief Society President. She and Lee served a mission in the Pocatello Idaho mission. She loved playing games with her grandchildren, making pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and baking bread. She loved family reunions and always looked forward to them. She cared for the sick and those in need with a quiet and compassionate grace. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Lee Bettis of Chubbuck; her daughter, LeAnn (Dave) Kauer of Amity Oregon, her daughter, Shelley (Roger) Herr of Meridian Idaho, and her daughter Louise (Kendall) Andersen (Thomas Idaho); ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank all those who cared for Norma at Ridge Wind Assisted Living Center and Encompass Hospice. Your kindness and service will be forever appreciated. A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 208-233-1500. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11 AM at the Thomas LDS 4 th Ward Church, 1059 West 100 South, Blackfoot, Idaho 83221 with a viewing for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204. Condolences can be made to the family online at www.colonial-funeralhome.com
