Pat Whitworth

December 24, 1932 — June 22, 2019

Corwin Pat Whitworth, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019. He was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1932 and was the third son of Harold and Fern Amerlia Richardson Whitworth. He grew up in the Inkom, Idaho area, and attended Schools there, graduating from Inkom High School in 1950. He married Carol Lee Rose on June 1, 1951. They had three children, Catherine Lee, Corwin Paul, and Harold Daniel. Pat and Carol later divorced. He then married Ruth Louise Alder June 21, 1958. Pat and Ruth had two daughters, Charlotte Ann, and Anita Kathleen. Pat worked for a time at UPRR, and then worked on gas pipelines. He worked for many different construction companies building the Interstate Highway systems with his brother Bill. He was always proud of his membership in the Operating Engineers Union. Pat and Ruth took over his fathers farm and Ranch operation in 1967. Pat continued to do custom landscaping/road building while expanding his farming operation. He was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing with them. Pat was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth; one son, Harold Daniel; and two brothers, Harold Sterling, and William Paul. Pat is survived by one son, Corwin Paul, (Julie) of LaPorte, Indiana; three daughters, Catherine Rhodehouse (Stanley), Charlotte Vaughan (Rob), and Anita Dabling (Bill) all of Inkom, Idaho; a sister, Michaele Rhoades (Jim) also of Inkom; and sister-in-law, Ramona Whitworth of Fort Hall. Pat is also survived by ten grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to the Idaho Food Bank, 555 South 1 st St., Pocatello, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11 am at the LDS Church, 150 Snow Peak Boulevard in Inkom (New Church). Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at the Inkom Idaho Cemetery.
