Patricia “Pat” Prescott, 70, passed away peacefully at home surrounded be her loving family on Wednesday March 2, 2022.
Pat was born May 4, 1951 to Jess & Cecilia Garcia. She attended St. Anthony Catholic School, Franklin Jr High, and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969. After graduation she attended cosmetology school.
Pat met her true love Mark Prescott on Halloween 1969. They later got married on June 6, 1970 and were blessed with 5 wonderful children: Jeffery, Holidae, (twins) Brady & Katie, and Hillary.
When Mark and Pat first got married she worked as a cosmetologist, then began her family. After raising her family she began her career with Pocatello School District #25 as a Teaching Assistant at Wilcox Elementary for 30 plus years, where she was dedicated and caring to all students.
After retiring she was the most loving and devoted Grandma (Boma) to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spent all her spare time spoiling them. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, traveling, and making blankets for family and friends, but her greatest joy was having Sunday dinners and spending time her loud her loving family
Pat is survived by her loving husband Mark, sons Jeffery Prescott and Brady (Melanie) Prescott; daughters Holidae (Chuck) Hathaway, Katie Garcia, and Hillary (Jerome) Johnson; all of Pocatello. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Marcus (Cierra) Prescott, Phillip (Chylzee) Hathaway, Sam Hathaway, Sydny Hathaway, Justin (Allysa) Hirschi, Alex Prescott, Jarod Prescott, Mercedes (Chris) Williamson, Cassandra (Kord) Davis, Tyler Mills and Austin Mills; eight great-grandchildren, Joseph Jaedyn, Lyrik, AveriAnna, Dominick, Kingston, Asher, Sage, and two step grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her siblings Anita Sizemore, Jess (Judy) Garcia, Phillip (Susie) Garcia, Alan Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jess & Cecilia Garcia, In-Laws Loren & Grace Prescott, sister and brother-in-law Donna & Roger Shively, brother in-law
Joe Sizemore, nieces Lindsey Shively and Tessa Sizemore, and nephews Jarod Sizemore and Connor Shively.
We would like to thank Heritage Home Health and Hospice for the amazing care of our mother during her last day with us. To Lynell as she said “I Love You.”
No formal services are planned. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity of choice.
