Patricia Rowlands

Patricia Gail Cohen Rowlands, 74, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 of natural causes. She was born May 22, 1940 to Donald and Nellie Cohen in Sisco, Ohio. When Pat was about 8 the family moved to Pocatello. She attended Pocatello schools and graduated from Pocatello High School. In 1965, Pat met Steve Rowlands her one and only love, and they were married about 3 weeks later on August 9, 1965. They enjoyed 47 years together and were blessed with 2 daughters, Staci and Teri. Pat had 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren that she loved very much. Pat enjoyed many crafts, including toll painting, and crocheting. She spent many hours painting and making afghans as gifts for family and friends, they were always special, beautiful gifts. She dedicated her life to helping others. Pat was always helping someone, whether taking care of an ill friend, or driving her more elderly friends to run errands or just to be there as a shoulder to cry on. Pat would sacrifice all things for her children and Steve. Many times she went without so that she could provide for her family, with all their needs and wants. She is survived by daughters, Staci (Brad) McDonald, Gilbert, AZ, Teri Neeser, Pocatello, ID; 5 grandchildren, Keri Nagle, Derek DeLange, Taylor Nagle, Mandi DeLange, and Colton Neeser; 3 great-grandchildren, Paedyn Hysel, Kalan Hysel, and Kabree Tarbot. Pat would have been happy with just your presence but if you feel the need to give, helping the girls with funeral expenses in lieu of flowers would be her wish. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500 with concluding services to follow, starting at 10:30 AM, also at the funeral home. Not only are we celebrating Pats life we are also celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary that they are celebrating today.
