Paul Pancoast

March 27, 1938 — April 3, 2020

Crockett Bryan "Paul" Pancoast, 82 passed away peacefully April 3, 2020 at a local hospital.

Paul was born March 27, 1938 to Paul Bryan and Mary (Lebron) Pancoast in Pensacola, Florida.

Paul spent all of his young life in Pensacola, until he joined the United States Navy in 1958. Paul was stationed on many aircraft carriers and bases. He served a tour in Vietnam. While he was stationed at NAS in Jacksonville, he met Elizabeth Carter, and they were married on December 2, 1967. Paul continued his career in the Navy until he retired in 1978 and his last assignment on the USS Independence.

Paul and Elizabeth settled in Jacksonville, Florida to be close to family and raise their two daughters. He worked for the State of Florida and other various jobs. In 1997 decided it was time to make a life change and to semi-retire and moved to Jerome, Idaho. He spent most of his time tinkering in his backyard, or spending time with his wife, family and friends.

Paul moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 2018 to be closer to family after the passing of his precious wife, Elizabeth.

Paul was a soft spoken gentle man, who was proud to serve his country and often reminisced about his time in the military.

Paul is survived his brother, Fred (Carolyn) Pancoast of Nashville, Tennessee; a sister, Barbara Nickels (Floyd Smith) of Plantation, Florida; daughters, Melissa Pancoast, Pocatello, Idaho; Paula (Mark) Coverdale, Pocatello, Idaho; and grandchildren, Ethan Coverdale, Bryan Coverdale (Sarah Windes), and Elizabeth (Luke) Schick.
