Rickie Rand Kirkham, 69, passed away at his home Friday, July 24, 2015. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho June 6, 1949 to June (Pyper) and Stan Kirkham. He married Kathleen Williams in Pocatello, Idaho in 1968. Rick grew up on Gould Street and loved to share memories of his friends with everyone. He attended Pocatello High School and one year at ISU. He served in the Army Reserves. Rick worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He began working there at the age of 14. He retired as an Engineer. Rick had several opportunities to drive the train to carry special people and to be part of crews on the old Steam Engines that would come through Pocatello. He was often called Railroad Kirkham because of his initials and his dedication to his job. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rick gained a great love for members especially in the last few months. Rick was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved hunting geese every winter day that he possibly could. He was a great shot and always got his limit. He enjoyed many hunting days and fishing trips with his friends. He also enjoyed collecting coins. Rick is survived by his wife Kathleen and Children: Colter (Dawnae) Kirkham, Pocatello, Idaho, Chelsea (James) Howell, Thompson Station, Tennessee, Devri (Maka) Naulu, Spanish Fork, Utah, and Trevor (Marcie) Kirkham, Las Vegas, Nevada, and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanford W Kirkham, his mother, June Beth Jones, and a brother, Gary Lynn Kirkham Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Chubbuck LDS 8 th Ward located at 450 James Avenue (Corner of James and Hawthorne) at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing at the church prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors done by the Army Reserves and the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
