Robert Charles Lamb

d. March 4, 2015

Robert (Bob) Charles Lamb died March 4, 2015 at the age of 67 in Pocatello, ID of natural causes. Bob had a strong want and will to live but after a valiant battle with health issues, his body could not go on. Bob was a survivor of legionnaires disease from 7 years prior. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his beloved grandson, Bruin Lamb; his daughter, Brandy Lamb and her husband Bobby Davis; his siblings, Tahna Fenwick, Cory Lamb, Karen Edwards and Jon Lamb. Bob was thankful later in life for his best friend and brother, Cory who often cared for him during his ill health. Bob was born on December 4, 1947 to Vera Cammack Lamb and Charles S. Lamb. He was the oldest of 5 children and kept a close relationship with all of his 4 siblings. Bob grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1966. After high school Bob hired out at Union Pacific Railroad, first as a clerk, then as a Brakeman/Conductor, he later took a medical retirement at age 57. After high school he enjoyed racing his 68 Chevelle at the Pocatello speedway where he earned several trophies. Bob moved to Las Vegas, NV. for work and there he married Theresa DeLozier and together had one child, Brandy Lamb. They later divorced. Bob remained the rest of his years in Pocatello, ID. Bob was a proud community member of Pocatello and Island Park. He made it a point to vote in every election. He was one to regularly donate to official and unofficial just causes. He was a box holding member of Pocatello Golden Gloves and a proud member of the United Transportation Union. One of his favorite past times was any kind of gambling Powerball to slot machines to football boards and to friendly wagers-somehow he always came out on top. Bob looked forward to and loved his summers in Island Park where he had a home in Cowan Estates Subdivision. He always looked forward to summers there where he enjoyed fishing and the comradery of friends spending many lazy afternoons at Steve Augustines. His famous pig and lamb feed with his cousin, Willy, was held every Labor Day weekend where the whole community turned out to celebrate the end of another season. He will be greatly missed by his Island Park community. Bob was an amazing father who always looked forward to visits from his daughter and later on his grandson. He was a loving and warm father. He was the kind of dad that hung the moon. He was candid and funny and always respectfully stated his position on anything he had an opinion about. His deep voice was unmistakable and as a child, his daughter could find him at any moment- anywhere- just by following the sound. Everyone who knew Bob had a story to tell about him. Some railroad stories, some about his younger wilder days, and some that just shouldn't be printed. There arent enough newspaper pages in the whole world to print all the amazing stories of his life. To know him was to have loved and laughed with him. There will be a celebration of life for Bob on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at Rumors Bar, 2227 Garrett Way Pocatello, ID 83201 where we will share stories, food, and memories.
