Robert Cutler

October 22, 1941 — October 24, 2021

Robert “Bob” A. Cutler passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 24, 2021, after a long fought battle with cancer. Bob was a proud member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and a lifelong resident of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.

Bob was born October 22, 1941 to his parents, the late John and Vivian Cutler. Bob married Darla Edwards on March 16, 1963 and from this union, had three children Robert D. Cutler, Chris A. Cutler, and Lori K. Howell. Bob was blessed with his grandchildren, Jacqueline Cutler, Jacob Cutler, Kylee Cutler, Madyson Cutler, Shaely Howell, Kaitlyn Howell, Brennyn Cutler, Maci Howell, and his great granddaughter Adilynn Harris. Bob and Darla eventually divorced but remained very close friends.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a true passion for the mountains and rivers of Salmon, Idaho. When he wasn’t working, you could find him outdoors with his children and closest friends hunting, fishing, camping, and gold mining. When Bob retired from the Union Pacific Railroad he was able to enjoy more time doing the things he loved, particularly with his children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his sister Myrtle Prozinski, his brother Brian Cutler (Nancy), his children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his loving companion Stella Parrish.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents John Robert Cutler and Vivian Lenon, his paternal grandparents John William Cutler and Rose La Rose; his maternal grandparents James Esco Lenon and Myrtle Thompson; his paternal great grandparents Andrew Oscar Cutler and Maggie J. Martin; his maternal great grandparents Oscar A. Lenon and Mary Oliver; his paternal great-great grandparents Fred La Rose and Nettie Kutch; his maternal great-great grandparents Kit Carson Thompson and Emma Jane Leigh.
