Robert Tuckett was a caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, son, and friend. He left this world on September 6, 2021, at age 69. He was born to Henry and (Jeanette) Dixie Tuckett on July 29, 1952. After graduating from high school, Robert married the girl next door, Dee Ann (née Ruchti). After enrolling at Idaho State, Robert and Dee Ann had their first two sons Aarron and Quenton and chased his dreams to work at Boeing in Seattle, Washington. Together, they returned to Pocatello, Idaho, and raised two more sons, Jesse and Dana.
Robert enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, seeking solitude in the wilderness amongst Idaho's evergreens and mountain lakes. On these outings, Robert loved to hunt, fish, backpack, and camp. He celebrated music and concerts, sports, and Idaho State athletics. He will be remembered for officiating many high school sporting events, including football and basketball. He enjoyed retirement from Union Pacific Railroad after 35 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with Dee Ann and his dogs Scout and Cocoa.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Henry Tuckett, and his older sister Susan (Ron) Pence. He is survived by his mother, Dixie Tuckett; sister, Linda Reinke; brother, Kerry (Julie) Tuckett. He will be kept in the hearts of his wife of almost 50 years, Dee Ann Tuckett; and his four sons, Aarron, Quenton (Colleen), Jesse, and Dana Tuckett. He will be remembered by his grandchildren, Baylee, Cydnee, Alexandra, and Colson Tuckett. He touched the lives of many family and friends, both current and past connections in Pocatello and beyond.
The family thanks the Portneuf Cancer Center and Portneuf Medical Center Infusion Services for many years of care.
Per his wishes, a funeral service is not being held at this time; Robert will have his ashes scattered at a celebration of life at a later date.
